The opportunity

Irish whiskey is the category Canada is drinking into

#1
Fastest-growing whiskey category in Canada — ahead of Scotch and domestic rye.
25–45
The discovery drinker. Buys on story and label, drinks neat and in cocktails.
3
Provinces live from launch: Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
The premium shelf is where the growth is — and where independent Irish brands have the least competition.
Trade advantage

Duty-free into Canada under CETA

Irish whiskey enters Canada at zero customs duty. American whiskey is carrying new tariff cost from August 2026 — and Canadian retaliation lands in September.

For a buyer rebuilding a bourbon-heavy back bar, that is a like-for-like premium replacement with better landed economics.

Who we are

A farm in Carlow, a whiskey for everywhere you've been

Flying Tumbler is the independent, family-owned whiskey of Mount Leinster Spirits — built by brothers Patrick and Thomas Walsh at Larch Grove, Ballytarsna.

The name comes from the flying tumbler pigeon: a bird that turns somersaults in the air and never fails to find its way home. That is the brand in one line — rooted adventure.

The craft

Made the long way round

Racked casks in the bonded warehouse

First-fill casks only

Ex-bourbon at the core, with sherry, rye and Jamaican rum casks selected by expression. Matured in bonded warehouses in Ireland.

Drawing a sample with the valinch

Non-chill filtered

Nothing stripped out for the sake of a clear bottle in a cold room. Texture and flavour stay where they belong.

Tubes on the bottling line

No added colour

The colour in the glass is the colour the cask gave it. Bottled and tubed by hand in County Carlow.
